As an empanelled CBBO or “Cluster-based Business Organization” by the SFAC or “Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium” under the Government of India, Earthood's Agriculture services have been instrumental in supporting and promoting FPOs or Farmer Producer Organizations. Our hands-on experience and extensive knowledge base enable us to efficiently address every facet of FPO promotion.

Supporting SFAC Initiatives at Earthood

The SFAC or Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium is a key agency responsible for the implementation of the Centre's scheme to form as well as promote 10,000 FPOs. The N-PMAFSC or “National Level Project Management Advisory and Fund Sanctioning Committee” has entrusted multiple FPO projects to SFAC in a phased manner.

Earthood, as a trusted CBBO, assists SFAC in execution of these programs through identification of clusters, conduction of baseline surveys, development of rating tools, value chain study and mobilization of communities.

About FPOs- Farmer Producer Organizations

FPOs are collective entities formed by farmers to improve their bargaining ability and enhance their incomes by accessing better markets. These organizations assist farmers in pooling their resources, sharing knowledge, and implementing efficient agricultural practices.

Farmers come together to achieve economies of scale, negotiate better prices for their produce, and reduce transaction costs. FPOs give a platform for agricultural inputs, advanced technologies, and financial services, to foster inclusive and sustainable growth in the sector of agriculture. Through these FPOs, farmers will be able to transition from subsistence farming to market-oriented, and more profitable agriculture.
